Why rope stanchions for a permanent installation
There is a thing a rope line says that a belt line cannot, and it is that you have reached the front of the building. The lobby run, the member entrance, the corridor guests should not be walking down — set once and left in place, with the posts forming part of the room even on the hours nobody is queuing.
Three posts are available, and on a permanent installation the room decides between them rather than the hardware. Timber, brass and carpet call for gold, the traditional reading. Glass and daylight call for polished chrome, which needs something to catch and finds little of it in a dim room. A dark floor calls for black, which sinks into it and hands the look to the rope.
Taking the same post for every position keeps a multi-site or multi-floor installation consistent, and no minimum order stands in the way. Replacement velvet ropes sell separately in any quantity, so a worn rope never costs you a post.
